4.2 RECEIVING CALLS
4.2.1 To Receiving All Call
1. While receiving an All Call, every radio on the current channel will be
announced, the radio will show the channel alias with the solid
Amber LED indication.
2. After the calls, radio will return to standby mode.
3. You can press PTT button to respond to calls.
4.2.2 To Receiving Group Call Or Private Call
1. While receiving a group Call or Private Call, the radio will show the caller’s alias with the
solid Amber LED indication.
2. After the calls, the radio will automatically start a hang time timer.
3. During the hang time, you can press PTT button to respond the call.
4.3 VOICE CALL BACKGROUND OPERATION
U3 provides you optional functions during voice call, you can turn on these functions in Status
indication ON/OFF menu, once the function is enabled, it will automatically work during a voice call,
you don’t have to do any additional operation.
You have the following optional functions:
4.3.1 Compander (Analog Mode Only):
The Compander feature is activated via the CPS PC Utility. The Compander will enhance voice
call quality. If the commander is enabled, radio will automatically expand signals while receiving,
and compress signals while transmitting.
