►SETTING PRIVATE TIME
To set your pager’s Private Time feature, proceed as follows:
You can select a time period during which your pager is
completely silent.
Your pager still receives message but is does not alert.
The pager alerts only if an alarm expires or a priority message
is received.
Press to display the function menu.
Press to move the cursor to .
Press to display the Private Time screen.
When the screen is first displayed, the cursor is at the farthest
left position. The enabled ( ) or disabled ( ) symbol
indicates the current status.

Press or to select or .
Press to move the cursor to the hour digit. The auto off
time is displayed on the left and the auto on time is displayed
on the right.
Press or to adjust the hour.
Repeat the process for each set of digits for both the on time
and the off time (hour, minute, AM/PM if your pager is set to
display time in the 12 hour mode).
Press to activate Private Time.
The symbol is displayed if the Private Time function is
enabled. If the on time is equal to the off time, the pager does
not enable the PrivateTime function.

Press to display the function menu.
Press to move the cursor to .
Press to display the set-time-and-alarm screen.
Press to move the cursor to the hour digit.
Press or to adjust the hour.
Press to move the cursor to the minute digit.
Press or to adjust the minute.
Repeat the process for each set of digits: AM/PM/ 24 hr.,
month/day/year.
Press to activate the time and date change.

If you move the cursor past the last symbol in the row (far right),
it automatically wraps around and displays at the first symbol in
the beginning of the same row (far left).
►BATTERY INFORMATION
The Alpha Legend II pager is designed to operate with a
single AA-size good quality alkaline rechargeable battery
(carbon zinc batteries are not to be used).
To install or replace the battery, turn the pager to its right
side and proceed as follows:

Twist the circle battery door anticlockwise and lift it away
from the housing.
Remove the battery away from the housing by sliding it
out of the battery compartment, taking note of the positive
(+) and negative (-) markings on the battery and the pager
housing.
Insert the rechargeable battery by sliding it into the battery
compartment, taking note of the positive (+) and negative
(-) markings on the battery.
Replace the battery door.
Press to move the cursor to .
Press or to enable ( ) or disable ( ) the alarm.
Press to move the cursor to the hour digit.
Repeat the process for each entry (minute, AM/PM, and date).
Press to activate your selection. The symbol is
shown on the display.
Press to display the function menu.
Press to move the cursor to .
Press to display the set-time–and-alarm screen.

►SETTING THE ALARM
The alarm on your pager can be set two daily alarms
for a specific time and date, or it can be used as a daily alarm.
To set the alarm for a specific time and date:
At the selected time, your pager emits a 12-second audible
alert even if the pager is in the silent mode.
The alarm symbol defines the alarm status—either alarm
enabled ( ) or alarm disabled ( ).

Press to move the cursor to the alert mode.
Press or to adjust the alert mode.
Replace the process for the alert mode, alert pattern,
vibrate mode and tone mode settings.
Press to activate the alert change.
Press or to adjust the source.
Press to display the function menu.

press .

►SETTING THE ALERT PATTERN
Note: The pager must be in the audible alert mode to select
the alert pattern.Your pager has six alert modes (alert
mode, alert and vibrate mode, vibrate then alert mode,
vibrate mode, chirping mode, silent mode), sixteen
alert patterns (one standard alert, eight different
pleasing alerts, seven different urgent alert), two
vibrate modes (continuous vibrate, interrupted vibrate)
and two tone modes (general tone, escalating tone),
allowing you to select and change the alert.
CAUTION: Only use the batteries provided by the original
manufacturer.
Insert the battery
The alert can be set as either audible or silent.
Press to display the function menu.
Press to move the cursor to or .
The symbol is displayed if the pager is in the audible
alert mode (prompting you to enter the silent mode, if desired).
Press to select the desired alert mode.
If the selected mode is audible ( ), your pager emits a short
chirp.
If the selected mode is silent ( ) and your pager is equipped
with a vibrator, your pager vibrates.

mode (prompting you to enter the audible mode, if desired).

If your pager is not functioning or needs to be serviced, it
should be returned to your authorised contact centre.

REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
To maintain the quality of the pagers display, do not expose
it to direct heat and moisture e.g., on the dashboard in
vehicle etc.
To clean smudges and grime from the exterior of the
housing, use a soft, nonabrasive cloth moistened in a mild
soap and water solution. Rinse the surface using a second
cloth moistened in clean water. Do not immerse the pager in
water. Do not use any other cleaning solutions.
