4.5 Perform New Calibration: Automatic Calibration (Option)
The UT-3000 Ultratracer can be equipped with the Automatic Calibration Unit which is available
as an accessory. This unit has a Peltier element cooled mercury saturation chamber, from which
saturated air is drawn by means of a digital syringe. This air is injected automatically in a stream
of zero air entering the UT-3000.
It is recommended to place or mount this unit under the UT-3000.


 It is important to install all connections between the Automatic Calibration Unit and
the UT-3000 before the system is set into operation !

4.5.1 Connecting the Automatic Calibration Unit with the UT-3000
a) The calibration gas outlet tubing of the Calibration Gas Unit has to be connected with the
calibration gas inlet tubing of the UT-3000 (see figure below).
b) The cable for the temperature sensor (two round 4-pin plugs) has to be connected with the
according sockets on the rear side of the UT-3000 and the Automatic Calibration Unit.
