3.3 Basic Settings
For the first measurement settings in the Service Menu have to be made.
Press ESC-Service in the main menu to go to the service menu.
Now you have to enter a service code. Follow the instructions given in chapter 5 in order to
perform the required settings.
3.4 Set Sample Parameters
3.4.1 Set Sample Volume
Press F2-Set Sample Parameters in the main menu and activate “Set sample volume” by
moving the arrow to the corresponding line. Then press F1 and enter the desired sample volume.
Characters can be deleted with the
-key. The according sampling time is automatically
calculated and displayed.
a) For fast screening measurements (accuracy >1 ng/m³) a sample volume of 1 l is
recommended.
b) To achieve better sensitivity and optimum analysis speed (accuracy ~0.2 ng/m³) a sample
volume of 10 l is recommended.
c) For a maximum sensitivity (accuracy ~0.1 ng/m³) a sample volume of
20 l or more can be set.
Note: The sample volume determines the sampling duration. As a constant flow rate of
0.67 l/min is applied during sampling, a 1 l sample volume gives a sampling duration of ca.
90 seconds (a 10 l sample gives a sampling duration of ca. 15 minutes respectively).
