2.2 Electrical power supply
The voltage of the power source has to be the same as the operation voltage indicated on the
rating plate of the UT-3000. One end of the included power cord has to be connected to the
power cord receptable on the back of the UT-3000. The opposite end has to be plugged into an
appropriate power outlet. For operation turn on the UT-3000 by pushing the power
switch on the back plate to position I

2.3 Operation and display components
The UT-3000 features a waterproof IP66 keypad and a graphic LCD with background
illumination for comfortable operation.
2.4 Connection of the electrical output
2.4.1 Serial Data output (USB / RS 232)
To read out data from the built-in data logger or measurement results in realtime connect the UT-
3000 with a PC. The serial input of the PC (COM1 or COM2) has to be connected to the USB-
port on the rear panel of the instrument using an appropriate cable (part no. 202-07a). Below the
USB-port there is also available a 9-pin DSUB-socket labelled “RS232”. This socket is normally
used for the controlling of the automatic calibration device option. But by manually switching an
