In the [ACQUIRE] menu, [F5] is the key for quick acquisition. To observe the rapidly
changes of a waveform, activate this function. The oscilloscope will depicts waveform
strength with dark and light colour tones.

Illustration 10 : Using the dual time base function
In the dual time base mode, you can enjoy unrivaled detailed observation of a waveform.
For example, you can observe the colour synchronized signal of the video signal (clear
observation is impossible with ordinary oscilloscopes).
1. To access a signal in CH1, follow the “Video signal trigger” instructions in “Illustration
7 : Video signal triggering”.
2. Press [MENU] in the horizontal control zone to display the time base setup menu.
3. Press [F3] to enter dual time base setup.
4. Press [F1] to select dual time base, then press [F2] to select CH1. Press [F3] to set
time base graticule to M1. Adjust the M1 time base range with the SEC/DIV
knob as
shown in Figure 3-14. Then press [F3] to select M2 and adjust the M2 time base range
with the SEC/DIV
knob as shown in Figure 3-14.
5. Shift the M2 time base with the multifunction control knob to show the parts you
require to observe in detail. When shifting M2, press [F5] to choose coarse or fine
tune.
