4. Pretrigger/Delayed Trigger : Data sampled before/after triggering.
The trigger position is typically set at the horizontal center of the screen. In this case,
you are able to view 5 divisions of pretrigger waveform and 5 divisions of
post-trigger waveform. By turning the horizontal shift knob [POSITION] clockwise
to adjust horizontal displacement of the waveform, you can see more pretrigger
information, i.e see more waveform details before trigger occurs. For example, you
can detect the glitch that occurs when the circuitry starts. Observation and analysis
of pretrigger data can help you identify the cause of glitch.
Setting Up the Sampling System
As shown below, [ACQUIRE] button in the control zone is the function key for the
sampling system.
