I. Operating Math Functions
Math functions are displays of +, -, ×, ÷, FFT mathematical results and digital filtering
function of CH1 and CH2 waveforms. The menu is as follows :

Type Math
To carry out +, -, ×, ÷ functions.
Operand 1 CH1
CH2
Set operand 1 as CH1 waveform.
Set operand 1 as CH2 waveform.
Operator +

×
÷
Operand 1 + Operand 2
Operand 1 - Operand 2
Operand 1 x Operand 2
Operand 1 ÷ Operand 2
Operand 2 CH1
CH2
Set operand 2 as CH1 waveform.
Set operand 2 as CH2 waveform.
Scaling ratio 1/1
1/10
1/100
1/1000
Scale the waveform by ratio. There are four ratios to
choose from : 1/1, 1/10, 1/100, 1/1000.
FFT spectrum analysis
By using the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) algorithm, you can convert time domain
signals (YT) into frequency domain signals. With FFT, you can conveniently observe the
following types of signals :
z Measure the harmonic wave composition and distortion of the system
z Demonstrate the noise characteristics of the DC power
z Analyse oscillation
