5. Environmental characteristics

Moisture
Keep the resonator at 40°C ± 2°C and
90% RH for 1000 hours ± 4 hours.
Then release the resonator into room
condition for 1 hour prior to
measurement.
It shall fulfill the
specifications in Table 1.

Vibration Subject the resonator to the vibration for
1 hour in each of the following
directions: X, Y and Z. with the
amplitude of 1.5mm and frequency of
10Hz to 55Hz.
It shall fulfill the
specifications in Table 1.

Mechanical
shock
Drop the resonator randomly on a
concrete floor from the height of 1 meter
3 times.
It shall fulfill the
specifications in Table 1.

Resistance to
soldering heat
Dip the resonator terminals no closer
than 1.5mm into the solder bath at
350°C ± 10°C for 10 seconds ± 1
second. Then release the resonator into
room condition for 1 hour.
It shall fulfill the
specifications in Table 1.

Solderability Dip the resonator terminals no closer
than 1.5mm into the solder bath at
230°C ± 5°C for 10 seconds ± 1 second.
Min. 95% of lead
terminals’ surface shall
be covered with solder.

High
temperature
exposure
Subject the resonator to 80°C ± 5°C for
1000 hours ± 4 hours. Then release the
resonator into room condition for 1 hour.
It shall fulfill the
specifications in Table 1.
