c. The top, bottom, back and both sides of the opening must be completely covered by a
non-flammable material such as cement board. Do not seal the corners of the opening.
The structure of the opening must be built so that once the unit is installed it can
withstand a minimum pressure of 68 kg (150 lbs) vertically and horizontally along the
wall plane.
d. To install the Mounting Brackets in the opening, follow the ‘Installation Instructions’ on
page 6. The bottom of the vertical brackets ‘B’ must be installed at a minimum of 5’’
from the bottom of your opening.
e. The finishing on the outside of the wall on top, underneath and on both sides of the
unit can come sit flush on the outside of the unit to cover the extra space surrounding
the unit in the opening.
