Installing USBasp on a 64 bit Windows OS
To install the USBasp on a 64 bit Windows OS you will need to download the zipped
folder LibUSB-64bitfrom the following link to the eclipse folder on your desktop:
http://sites.google.com/site/openusbboard/file-cabinet
I recommend you stick to the version on the OUSB site as I know it works and the
procedures in the manual are for this version.
However if you have a reasonable level of competency you should have no problems
with any of the LibUSB versions after win32 - 1.2.1.0 from the project site.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb-win32/files/
Before we start to install the driver you will need to plug your USBasp programmer into
a spare USB port of your PC.
Once you have downloaded the zipped folder using the extraction wizard, extract
the LibUSB-64bit folder. Open the extracted folder to the directory libusb-win32-bin-
1.2.1.0 > bin >x86 and run the program inf-wizard as shown in the figure below.
Inf-wizard will start, click Next.
