Step 1: With all of our wood post caps, we recommend that you seal/paint them

with a high-quality exterior finish to preserve the wood’s natural beauty and to

ensure a lifetime of enjoyment. Apply to the entire post cap including the

underside of the cap, before installation.

Step 2: To attach the post cap to the post,

using an exterior-grade construction

adhesive (Ex: Liquid Nails) to the underside of

the post cap and firmly place the post cap on

top of the post. See figure at the right.

Step 1: With all of our wood post base trim, we recommend that you seal/paint

them with a high-quality exterior finish to preserve the wood’s natural beauty and

to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment. Apply to the entire post base trim including the

inside of the trim, before installation.

Step 2: To attach the post base trim around the post, using an exterior-grade

construction adhesive (Ex: Liquid Nails) to the inside of the post base trim and

place the trim firmly around the post. Another option is, to attach the post base

trim to the post using finish nails.
