● Tip Temperature
Ifthetiptemperatureistoohigh,itdecreasesthelifeofthe
tip. So we suggest you to use the lowest *possible* tip
temperaturewhensoldering.T hisnotonlyprolonglifeofthetip,
it also quickens heat recovery and decreases harm to sensitive
components.
● Cleaning
Thesolderingi rontipshouldbecleanedafterusebywiping
iton thedampspongefoundinthesolderingironstand,thisisto
getridofburntsolderorfluxes thatcausesoxidationonthetip.
Regularcleaningisalsoneededwhentipsareusedforprolonged
periodoftime(removetipfromsolderingironandcleanitoncea
week). The solder tips are chrome electroplated on the surface
andshouldbe brightsilverwithnofluxresidueorsolderonit.
● When Not in Use
Ifa solderingirondoes not havea thin consistentlayeror
solder over the entire surface, the tip has not been properly
tinned.Whenyouarenotusingyouriron,makesureyouleavea
largelumpofsolderonthetip.Thismaintainsthetinningonthe
tip,andthetipwilllastmuchlonger.Manytechnicians mistakenly
cleanthetipbeforetheyputtheironintotheholder. Leave the
solderonthetiptoprotectit.

Remembertotinthetipaftercleaninginpreparationforthenext

REASSEMBLY OF HAND PIECE
After test or replacement of heating elements are done follow the
following steps to reassemble the hand piece:
1. SlideinhandpiecePCBintothemainhandle.Besuretosecure
thePCBinthenotchatthemouthofthemainhandle.
2. Attachthefrontmodule“5”tothemainhandle.
3. SlideintheTipholder“4”.Makesurethesmallerendisinserted
firstasseenintheillustrationbelow.
4. Insertthesolderingirontip“3”asseenbelow.
5. Secure the tip by inserting the tip enclosure “2” and nut ”1”
securely.
6. Reattachthehandpieceplug“15”tothereceptacleatthemain
station.
