Ob-3 is a simplied DMX operating mode where three DMX channels only need to set the brightness of
the 3 basic colours (red, green and blue).
b) DMX mode and Ob-3 mode
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identied by the controller.
This DMX starting address species the rst DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The remaining control
channels come after this rst DMX channel (DMX starting address).

The effect light requires either 15 or 3 (Ob-3 operation) free DMX channels depending on DMX operating
mode.
Setting the DMX start address for the DMX operating mode
• Set the desired DMX starting address in menu A001 (A001 - A512) when you want to use the device in 15-channel
DMX mode.
• Set Ob-3 in the menu if you want to use the device in simplied Ob-3 mode.
