a) General information
• Theproductisonlydesignedforhouseholduse,andnotforcommercialorin-
dustrialuse.
• Forsafetyreasons,anyunauthorisedconversionand/ormodicationoftheprod-
uctisnotpermitted.
• OnlyuseaUSBpowersupplywithasuitableloadcapacitytopowertheproduct
(see"TechnicalData").
• Donotleavepackagingmateriallyingaroundcarelessly.Itmaybecomeadanger-
ousplaythingforchildren.
• Protecttheproductfromextremetemperatures,directsunlight,strongjolts,high
humidity,moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
• Handletheproductcarefully.Jolts,impactsorafallevenfromalowheightmay
damagetheproduct.
• Donotplacetheproductunderanymechanicalstress.
• Ifitisnolongerpossibletooperatetheproductsafely,stopusingitandprevent
unauthoriseduse.Safeoperationcannolongerbeguaranteediftheproduct:
- isvisiblydamaged,
- isnolongerworkingproperly,
- hasbeenstoredforextendedperiodsinpoorambientconditionsor
- hasbeensubjectedtoanyserioustransport-relatedstress.
• Discontinueuseofthedeviceintheeventofmalfunctions,defectsorafterafall
andhaveitrepairedbyaspecialist.Improperrepairsmayresultinsubstantial
hazardstotheuserofthedevice.
• Consulta specialistifyou haveanydoubtsregardingtheuseorsafetyofthe
product.
• Maintenance,modicationsandrepairsmustbecarriedoutbyatechnicianora
specialistrepaircentre.
• Ifyouarenotsureabouthowtoconnectoroperatethedevice,orifquestionsarise
whicharenotcoveredbytheoperatinginstructions,contactourtechnicalsupport
oranotherspecialist.
• Inaddition,observetheadditionalsafetyinformationineachsectionofthesein-
structions.
• Alsoobservethesafetyinformationandoperatinginstructionsofthedeviceused
forthepowersupply.
b) Operation
• WARNING:This devicegeneratesUVradiation.UVradiationis harmfultothe
eyesandskin.NeverlookdirectlyintoUVradiationanddonotexposetheskin
toUVradiation.
• ThedeviceissafeinnormaluseasnoUVradiationcanescapewhenthecover
isclosed.AsafetymechanismswitchestheUVradiationoffwhenthecoverofthe
disinfectionboxisopenedduringoperation.Neverbypassthismechanismand
neveroperatethedevicewithadamagedsafetymechanism.
• Neveropenthecoverofthedeviceduringoperation.Alwaysswitchitoffrst.
• Donotusethedevicetodisinfectliquids,foodstuffsormedicaldevices.
• Donotusethedevicetotreatanimalsorplants.
• Thedevicemustnotbeleftunattendedwheninoperation.Whenthedeviceisnot
inuse,itmustbeswitchedoffanddisconnectedfromthepowersupply.
Power connection
 ThedisinfectionboxmustbepoweredviaaUSBpowersupplythatprovidesan
outputvoltageof5V/DCandhasacurrentratingofatleast1A.IftheUSBpower
supplydoesnotmeettheserequirements,itorthedisinfectionboxmaybedam-
aged.
 USBportsoncomputersareoftennotpowerfulenoughtopowerthisdevice.Over-
loadingmaydamagetheUSBinterfaceorthecomputer.
• ConnectthesuppliedUSBcabletothesmallUSBconnectioninthecaseonthebackofthe
disinfectionbox.
• ConnecttheotherendoftheUSBcabletotheUSBportofyourUSBpowersupply.
• Ifnecessary,turnontheUSBpowersupply.
 Whennotinuse,theUSBcablecanbestoredinthecaseonthebackofthedisin-
fectionbox.
