Care & Use Instructions
To fill the mill just remove the screw head ( if applicable ) and remove the upper part of the mill . If
there is no screw head simply lift the top of the mill off to fill . Once filled replace the top and ( if
applicable ) re - tighten the knob .
To adjust between fine and coarse grind simply turn the screw head at the top of the mill . If there
is no screw head at the top of the mill the adjustment knob is located at the bottom of the mill .
You may clean your mill with a soft , slightly damp cloth . Do not use cleaners or detergents on
your mill . Do not place your mill in the dishwasher .
If you are having trouble adjusting your mill it may have become jammed with large , unground
bits of salt or pepper . Invert the mill and twist the top to clear any debris . This should clear the
jam and allow you to adjust the mill .
The coarseness setting depends on personal taste and the destination dish . Typically finer grinds
are used with more delicate items and sauces while coarser grinds are used with meats and
dressings . Many times the recipe will call out the coarseness of the desired grind .
Küchenprofi Pepper Mills work best with whole , dry , hard peppercorns that are less than 5 mm
(1/4") in diameter .
Küchenprofi salt mills work best with coarse , dry salt approximately 4 mm in diameter , they are
not designed for use with damp salt .
When adjusting the grind turning the screw head tighter will yield a finer grind , loosening the
screw head will yield a coarser grind .
