Caring for Your Iron Door:
With the exception of season cleaning such as
pollen or dust, IDU doors are virtually
maintenance free. However, when needed,
below is how we recommend you clean your
door. Please note that we do NOT recommend
using any harsh chemical cleaners for cleaning
your door unit. We recommend a mild dish
soap, soft scrub brush or rag, buckets for water,
and an outdoor water source.
Fill a large bucket with water and add a
small amount of mild dish soap like Ivory or
Dawn. You may mix the soap into the water
with your hands until suds form.
Use a soft rag, or soft scrub brush along
with the sudsy water to wipe down your
Iron Door. There is no need to wring out the
sponge or rag. You should let the soapy
water drip onto the ground as you scrub.
Rinse the soapy water away with a garden
hose when the Iron Door is cleaned to your
liking. You are not advised to use the
strongest setting on spray attachment as
water could penetrate the windows or
seals. You simply want to rinse off the soap
with a light spray.
