adjustment is not allowed in this mode. The
Smart Thermostat function adjusts the ame
height in accordance to the difference between
the set point temperature and the actual room
temperature. As the room temperature gets
closer to the set point temperature, the Smart
Thermostat automatically modulates the ame
down.

4. Up/Down Button: This button is used to increase
or decrease the thermostat temperature, ame
height, and fan speed.
5. Mode Selection Button: This button is used to
toggle between the various function icons:
ame height, fan speed, and rear burner (certain
models).

AUTOMATIC SAFETY RESTART
This system will execute an automatic turn off
command within (24) hours of a continued pilot
ame ignition. This allows the system to verify
correct safety functions. After the turn off sequence
is completed, the ignition module will re-execute
the latest command.
TURN ON FUNCTION
1. Press the on/off button. The remote-control
display will show all active icons on the screen.
2. Select the thermostat mode by pressing the
thermostat button: OFF (meaning Manual),
ON (meaning Normal Thermostat) or Smart
(meaning Smart Thermostat).
a. If the thermostat icon displays as “OFF” (Manual),
it will ignite and start on Hi.
b. If the thermostat icon displays as “ON” (Normal
Thermostat), it will only ignite if the thermostat
temperature is greater than the room
temperature.
c. If the thermostat icon displays as “SMART”
(Smart Thermostat), it will only ignite if the
thermostat temperature is greater than the
room temperature.
TURN OFF FUNCTION
Press the on/off button.

