limitations supplied with the equipment since protection is usually provided for a limited time or under certain
circumstances.
ENGINEERING CONTROLS:
Use in a well-ventilated area. If handling results in dust generation, special ventilation may be needed to ensure that
dust exposure does not exceed the OSHA PEL for nuisance dust. If heated material generates vapor or fumes, use
process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control exposure.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Eye/Face Protection: Wear eye protection such as safety glasses, chemical goggles, or faceshields if engineering
controls or work practices are not adequate to prevent eye contact. If this material is heated, wear chemical goggles or
safety glasses and a face shield.
Skin Protection: If this material is heated, wear insulated clothing to prevent skin contact if engineering controls or work
practices are not adequate to prevent skin contact.
Respiratory Protection: No respiratory protection is normally required. If heated material generates vapor or fumes
that are not adequately controlled by ventilation, wear a NIOSH approved respirator. Use the following elements for
air-purifying respirators: Organic Vapor and Formaldehyde.
Use a positive pressure, air-supplying respirator if there is potential for uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not
known, or other circumstances where air-purifying respirators may not provide adequate protection.

Control as Particulate Not Otherwise Classified (PNOC). The ACGIH Guideline* for respirable dust is 3.0 mg/m3 and
10.0 mg/m3 for total dust. The OSHA PEL for respirable dust is 5.0 mg/m3 and 15.0 mg/m3 for total dust.
* This value is for inhalable (total) particulate matter containing no asbestos and < 1.0% crystalline silica.
