For Iron Pipe Connections:
1. Turn off water supply.
2. Remove spout by placing a piece of wood in the nose of the
spout and turning it counter-clockwise.
3. Remove any pipe thread tape left on the nipple sticking out
of the tub wall.
4. Wrap thread of nipple with pipe sealing tape, overlapping ½”
width in the direction of the thread.
5. Slide tub spout ring over pipe nipple sticking out of the tub wall,
so it is ush with the wall.
6. Reinstall spout by threading onto nipple by turning it in the clockwise
direction. When installing the spout onto the nipple, hand tighten only. If alignment cannot be
completed by handle, use the wood tool as in step 1. Ensure spout is centered onto the tub spout ring.
7. Turn on water supply and check for leaks.
For ½” Slip Fit Connections:
1. Turn off water supply.
2. Loosen the set screw on the underside of the tub spout near the wall.
3. Remove tub spout carefully by pulling it away from the wall.
4. Slide tub spout ring over copper pipe sticking out of the tub wall, so it is ush with the wall.
5. Reinstall spout by slipping the spout onto the exposed ½” copper pipe and tighten the set screw. Ensure spout is
centered onto the tub spout ring.
6. Turn on water supply and check for leaks.
Tools needed for installation: • Piece of wood • Pipe Thread Tape • Screwdriver
