X NN Step 2 å Assemble your unit on a carpeted floor or on the empty carton to avoid scratching your unit or the floor. å Use your hammer to tap four HIDDEN CONNECTORS (X) with SCREWS into the BRACE (E). Step 3 å Push seven HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the BOTTOM (D), BRACE (E), and DRAWER BRACE (M67). Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM. Step 4 å Fasten the CABINET RIGHT (40CA) and CABINET LEFT (40CB) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (LL) through holes #1 and #3. å Fasten four ANGLE BRACKETS (AA) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEADS SCREWS (KK). å NOTE: Be sure the edges of the ANGLE BRACKETS are even with the edges of the ENDS. Remember: Righty tighty. Lefty loosey.
Step 5 å Fasten the SKIRT (M57) to the BOTTOM MOLDING (K). Use two BLACK 1-7/8" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (GG). å Fasten the BOTTOM MOLDING (K) to the BOTTOM (D). Use four BLACK 1-1/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (II). Step 6 å Fasten the ENDS (A and B) to the BOTTOM (D). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. Step 7 å Tap two MOLDING CONNECTORS (DD) into the notches in the MOLDINGS (N, O, and P). å Fasten the MOLDINGS (N, O, and P) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 2-1/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (FF). Use your hammer to tap the MOLDING CONNECTORS (DD) into the notches in the MOLDINGS. Step 8 å Fasten the TOP (C) to the MOLDINGS (N, O, and P). Use seven BLACK 1-5/8" PAN HEAD SCREWS (HH). å NOTE: Do not overtighten the SCREWS into the TOP. Step 9 å Fasten the BRACE (E) to the ENDS (A and B). Tighten four HIDDEN CONNECTORS (X). å Fasten the BRACE MOLDING (L) to the BRACE (E). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. How to use the HIDDEN CONNECTOR To fasten two parts together using the HIDDEN CONNECTORS, insert your screwdriver, at an angle, into the slot in the HIDDEN CONNECTOR. While pushing the screw into the hole of the adjoining part, turn the screwdriver clockwise to tighten. L The HIDDEN CAMS must be here.
Step 10 å Fasten the END MOLDINGS (Q) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (KK) through the ANGLE BRACKETS on the ENDS and into the grooves in the END MOLDINGS. å Turn two FOOT SCREWS (W) a few turns into the two holes in the BOTTOM MOLDING (K). å Next, turn a FOOT (V) onto each FOOT SCREW (W). Turn the FEET clockwise until the FEET and FOOT SCREWS are tight against the BOTTOM MOLDING (K). Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day.
Step 11 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Unfold the BACK (F) and lay it over your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (F). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å Fasten the BACK (F) to your unit using the NAILS (MM). Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. Step 12 VIEW THE T-SLOT DRAWER VIDEO å Pull the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS (BB) apart and slide them into the grooves in the DRAWER SIDES (D44 and D45). You may need to gently tap them in with a hammer. å NOTE: The DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS are marked "RH" and "LH" for easy identification. å Fasten the DRAWER FRONT (G2) to the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS (BB). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (KK). å Slide the DRAWER BOTTOM (D723) into the grooves in the DRAWER SIDES (D44 and D45) and DRAWER FRONT (G2).
Step 13 å å VIEW THE T-SLOT DRAWER VIDEO Fasten the DRAWER BRACE (M67) to the DRAWER FRONT (G2). Tighten one HIDDEN CAM. Fasten the DRAWER BACK (D115) to the DRAWER SIDES (D44 and D45) and DRAWER BRACE (M67). Use five BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (30S). 1 Maximum 210 degrees Arrow M67 Minimum 190 degrees G2 Start each screw a few turns before completely tightening any of them. 30S 2 BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREW (5 used in this step) Be sure the DRAWER BOTTOM inserts into the DRAWER BACK groove.
Step 14 å Fasten the DRAWER RIGHT (40CC) and DRAWER LEFT (40CD) to the DRAWER SIDES (D44 and D45). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (LL) through holes #2 and #4. å Fasten the KNOB (EE) to the DRAWER FRONT (G2). Use a SILVER 1-1/4" PAN HEAD SCREW (JJ). Roller end JJ SILVER 1-1/4" PAN HEAD SCREW (1 used for the KNOB) 1 2 4 D45 3 Roller end D44 G2 EE 1 2 3 4 LL GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREW (4 used for the SLIDES) www.sauder.
Step 15 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å To make adjustments to the drawer, loosen the SCREWS in the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS, make needed adjustments, and tighten the SCREWS. å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. å This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
