How to fix the microstepping jumpers:
The HobbyKing Ultimaker V1.5.7 PCB Main Control Board has a manufacturing flaw in which there are
PCB traces running on the back of the board between the microstepping jumper pins. This means that
the stepper drivers operate in 1/16
th
step mode regardless of where the jumpers are positioned.
To solve this problem, use a knife to scratch through the traces in the areas circled in red on the picture
below. Microstepping should now work normally.
