Instructions / Assembly
Assembly Instruction:
Before installing your Ramp Ends, it is important to establish
the length of plank needed for proper use (refer to chart
below).
Choose two new, free of knots or cracks Douglas Fir or Oak 2”
x 8” or 2” x 10” planks if you have 8” wide Ramp Ends or 2” x
12” Planks if you have 12” wide Ramp Ends.
To determine proper plank length:
• Measure vertical distance from the ground to the bed
platform where the Ramp Ends will rest (i.e. bed of truck or
trailer).
• Use the chart to locate the nearest height of the the truck.
• Use the right hand column to determine the length of the
planks needed for your measurement.
Installation Instructions:
• After proper length of plank is acquired, insert plank into
Ramp End and mark holes for drilling (see fig 1)
• Remove Ramp Ends and drill 5/16” holes
• Use hardware supplied to assemble one Ramp End to each
plank fastening each plank with two bolts supplied ( See fig
2).
• Remove protective backing on peel and stick pads. Apply
large pad to Ramp End surface that will rest on vehicle
while aligning holes. Apply small pad to back edge of
Ramp End that will contact vehicle.
• For added safety, using the additional holes in the Ramp
End as a guide, drill holes in bed surface and secure ramps
to surface with anchoring pins (see fig 2)

Recommended Range
1'0" 3'10"
1'2" 4'6"
1'4" 5'2"
1'6" 5'10"
1'10" 7'1"
2'0" 7'9"
Planks in this range need
additional support
2'2" 8'4"
2'4" 9'0"
2'6" 9'8"
2'8" 10'4"
2'10" 11'0"
3'0" 11'7"
Ramping higher than 3' is considered dangerous due to the
length of plank and possible flexing and breakage. Do Not
attempt higher than 3' ramping without intermediate plank
support. Do Not exceed 11'7" length plank.
Serious injury or death may result from the use of this
product. Do Not exceed 11’7”th plank nor 3’ of ramping
height. Follow recommendation below.
