Intended use
This product is used to supply the voltage/current for the light series “Slimlite”.
The product may be operated only on the mains voltage (see “Technical Data” section). The
product is intended only for mounting and operation in dry, closed indoor rooms. It must not
get damp or wet.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating
instructions!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves
the risk of short circuits, re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modi ed or
converted!

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
The lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
This symbol indicates speci c risks associated with handling, function or operation.
The product is intended only for installation and use in dry interiors; it must not be
exposed to moisture or dampness.
Symbol for protection class II, strengthened or double insulation between the mains
supply circuit and output voltage (protective insulation)

Safety Instructions
Read the complete operating manual carefully before using the product, as it
contains important information about the proper installation and operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases!
Unauthorised conversion and/or modi cation of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children! There is
danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
Install and use the product out of the reach of children.
The product may be operated only on the mains voltage (see section “Technical
Data”). Never try to operate the product at another voltage, as this will cause its
destruction.
Connect the product to a proper mains socket of the public grid only.
The mains socket at which the power pack is connected must be easily accessible.
Do not pull the power plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
The product is constructed according to Protection Class II.
This product must be installed and used only in dry conditions indoors. The prod-
uct must not get damp or wet; danger of a fatal electric shock!
Do not use this product in rooms or under adverse environmental conditions where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of explo-
sion!
The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
Do not overload the product (for the maximum load, see the section “Technical
Data” at the end of this operating manual).
Observe the limitation of the maximum total number of lights of type “Slimlite”
indicated in the operating manual that is included in the package of the lights.
The power pack provides an output voltage of 24 V/DC (direct current). Do not
connect lights that are not suitable for this voltage.
Never short-circuit the output of the power pack.
Never connect the outputs of multiple power packs to each other.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be
turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not used unintention-
ally.
If you detect any damage, do not operate the product; do not connect it to the
mains voltage!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is ickering light,
leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discolouration
of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored under unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
If you detect any damage while the product is in use (e.g. damaged power pack or
mains cable), do not touch the product. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric
shock!
First, switch off the mains socket to which the product is connected (switch off at
the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then switch off the
earth leakage circuit breaker).
Only after this should you remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
The repair of a damaged mains cable (e.g. with insulating tape) is not permitted!
There is a life-threatening hazard through an electric shock! Replace the defective
mains cable with a cable of the same design. Dispose of the defective mains cable.
A defective/damaged power pack cannot be repaired due to its permanently
closed casing; dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer’s
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are
to be observed!
