2x4 BLACK METAL RAIL BRACKET

Measure the distance between posts and cut 2x4 rails to length,

allowing 3/16" on each end for the bracket. Attach brackets to rail

ends using a (2) #8x2" exterior screws at each end.

Prop the 2x4 rail in place and attach one side to post using (2)

#8x2" exterior screws.

Check for level, then attach other side of rail to post using (2)

#8x2" exterior screws.

Tools Needed

• 4 - #8x2 exterior screws

(per bracket)

• Drill/power screwdriver

• Tape measure

• Carpenter’s level

• Carpenter’s pencil

• Safety glasses/goggles

• Gloves
