Cedar Split Rail Gate Instructions
Gate Installation Instructions for 42” Gates
1. Install 2-rail or 3-rail 42” gates using
gate kit (SKU #2250530) or
equivalent.
2. Install gate posts approximately 1”
wider than width of gate (ie: 41” - 42”).
When back filling gate support posts
use concrete to fill the bottom 20” of
the hole and gravel to fill the top 7” of
the hole. We recommend using one
bag of pre-mix cement per hole.
3. Use galvanized screws to avoid rusting and bleeding.
Gate Installation Instructions for 126” Gates
1. Attach 4” wheel (SKU #2175322) under the post at the swinging end of the gate.
2. Install 2-rail or 3-rail 126” gates using three 8” T-hinges
(SKU #2262134).
3. Install gate posts approximately 1” wider than width of gate (ie: 125” – 126”). When
back filling gate support posts use concrete to fill the bottom 20” of the hole and
gravel to fill the top 7” of the hole. If installing double gates opening size should be
1.5” wider than the combined width of the gates (approximately 252” – 153”). We
recommend using one bag of pre-mix cement per hole.
4. When mounting a single gate, install an 8” gate latch (SKU #2251116).
5. When mounting double gates, use a chain or cane bolt (SKU #2250524) to fasten
gate in closed position. (Always ensure the wheel of the gate is supported in closed
and open position.)
6. Use galvanized screws to avoid rusting and bleeding.
