ONLY USE A HAND PUMP SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR PRECHARGING HIGH-PRESSURE TANKS
AND THAT IS FITTED WITH A FOSTER #12FS QUICK DISCONNECT ATTACHMENT. DO NOT USE A
STANDARD AIR COMPRESSOR OR BICYCLE PUMP.
CAUTION
Make sure the airgun is unloaded,
cocked, ON SAFE and pointed in a
safe direction. Remove the cap on
the air cylinder fill port and connect
the hand pump quick-connect
fitting to the fill port (illustration
3b). Begin pumping. Continue
pumping until the pressure gauge
on the air cylinder indicates that
you are between 2000-3000
psi (illustration 3c). DO NOT
OVERFILL. Once desired pressure is
reached, bleed the pump hose and
disconnect the pump hose from the
cylinder. NOTE: If pump hose is not
bled before disconnecting, the hose
may whip when disconnected and
could result in injury or property
damage. Replace fill port cap.
Make sure the airgun is unloaded, cocked, ON SAFE and pointed in a safe direction.
Remove the cap on the airgun cylinder fill port and connect the high pressure tank or
bottle quick-connect fitting to the fill port (illustration 3b). Slowly open valve on the high
pressure tank and begin filling the airgun cylinder. NOTE: Slowly fill the airgun cylinder.
FIlling too fast can cause heat to build up, which will result in an inaccurate reading on the
cylinder’s pressure gauge. Continue filling until the pressure gauge on the airgun cylinder
indicates that you are between 2000-3000 psi (illustration 3c). DO NOT OVERFILL. Once
desired pressure is reached, bleed the high pressure tank/bottle hose and disconnect it
from the airgun cylinder. NOTE: If pump hose is not bled before disconnecting, the hose
may whip when disconnected and could result in injury or property damage. Replace fill
port cap.

CHECK THE PRESSURE
LEVEL INDICATOR OF THE
COMPRESSED AIR CYLINDER
ONLY WHEN YOUR AIR
RIFLE IS UNLOADED AND
DECOCKED AND WHEN THE
SAFETY IS ENGAGED.
CAUTION
The pressure in the cylinder can be read on the built-in pressure gauge. The gauge has an
accuracy of ±10%. Temperature variations can also affect the level shown.
Muzzle velocity should remain consistent until the Gauntlet
™
air cylinder pressure falls
below 1,150 psi. To maintain velocity, refill the air cylinder when it enters the ‘Low
Pressure’ zone on the gauge.
WHEN REFILLING, USE ONLY OIL- AND WATER-FREE COMPRESSED AIR (DIN EN 12021 –
BREATHING AIR) WITH A MAXIMUM PRESSURE OF 3000 PSI (207 BAR). NEVER EXPOSE FILLED
PRESSURE CYLINDERS TO A TEMPERATURE ABOVE 122°F (50° C). DO NOT MAKE ALTERATIONS
TO THE COMPRESSED AIR CYLINDER OR ITS VALVES. OBSERVE APPLICABLE NATIONAL STATUTORY
REGULATIONS FOR REFILLING. DO NOT REFILL CYLINDERS WHICH ARE LEAKY OR OTHERWISE
UNSAFE. EMPTY THEM IN A SAFE MANNER.
