BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE RETAINING RING, YOU
MUST EXPEL ANY REMAINING CO
2
BY SHOOTING THE AIR RIFLE IN A SAFE DIRECTION
OR BY TURNING THE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE SCREW CLOCKWISE. THE RETAINING
RING CANNOT BE REMOVED WHEN THE AIR RIFLE IS PRESSURIZED WITH CO
2
.

4. De-Charging Your Air Rie
OPERATION
• Make sure the airgun is “ON SAFE”, unloaded and
pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Remove the valve cap. NOTE: The valve cap is left-
hand threaded, rotate clockwise to loosen. (illustration
10)
• Tighten the pressure relief valve screw
by turning clockwise until you hear CO
2
discharge. (illustration 11)
• Once all the CO
2
is discharged, then
remove the retaining ring. (illustration 12)
• Remove the Relief Valve Assembly.

• Remove the empty CO
2
capsules and discard.
• If leaving empty, put a drop of RWS Chamber Lube on
the o-ring of the relief valve assembly and insert into the
CO
2
reservoir, screw on the retaining ring, back out the
pressure relief valve screw and replace the valve cap to
protect all parts.
USE ONLY 12g CO
2
CAPSULES. ANY ATTEMPT TO USE
OTHER TYPES OF GAS CAPSULES COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND
COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. GASES OTHER THAN CO
2
COULD
RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION OR RUPTURE OF THE AIRGUN.

CAPSULES MAY EXPLODE AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE
122° F. DO NOT MUTILATE OR INCINERATE THEM. DO NOT EXPOSE THEM TO
HEAT OR STORE CO
2
CAPSULES AT TEMPERATURES ABOVE 122°F.
WARNING:
NOTE: Never try to force any CO
2
capsule into or out of place. Do not store
your airgun with a CO
2
capsule in it. If you know you will not be using your airgun
for an extended period of time, empty the CO
2
capsule and remove it from the
airgun. (See Step 4). This is very important to remember, as it will prolong the
longevity of your airgun seals.
