3. Charging Your Air Rie
OPERATION
• Make sure the airgun is “ON SAFE”, unloaded and
pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION.
• Remove the valve cap. NOTE: The valve cap is left-
hand threaded, rotate clockwise to loosen.
(illustration 3)
• Remove the relief valve assembly by unscrewing the
retaining ring. (illustration 4)
• Before installing a CO
2
capsules, place one drop of
RWS Chamber lube on the top of the small end of each
CO
2
capsule.
• Insert the rst capsule small-end rst. (illustration 5)
• Insert the second capsule big-end rst. (illustration 5)
• Put a drop of RWS Chamber Lube on the o-ring of the
relief valve assembly and insert into the CO
2
reservoir
until it stops. (illustration 6)
• Tighten the pressure relief valve screw clockwise
all the way down, then back it off three turns counter-
clockwise. (illustration 7) NOTE: CO
2
will leak out if
the pressure relief valve screw is tightened.
• Screw on the retaining ring, hand-tighten. This
will puncture the CO
2
capsules. Do not use tools.
(illustration 8) NOTE: If CO
2
is leaking, back off the
pressure relief valve screw an additional turn.
• Replace the valve cap. NOTE: The valve cap is left-
hand threaded, rotate counter-clockwise to tighten.
• Keep the rie pointed in a safe direction. Cock the
rie by pulling the bolt back until it stops. The rie
should click indicating it is cocked. Return the bolt to its
forward position and pull the trigger to make sure CO
2
is discharging properly. If CO
2
does not discharge, tighten the
retaining ring some more and
test again.
KEEP HANDS AND FACE AWAY FROM ESCAPING CO
2
GAS.
IT CAN CAUSE FROSTBITE IF ALLOWED TO COME IN CONTACT WITH SKIN. ALWAYS
MAKE SURE THE CO
2
CAPSULE IS EMPTY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE IT
FROM THE AIRGUN. (SEE STEP 4. DISCHARGING YOUR AIR RIFLE)

NOTE: Never try to force any CO
2
capsule into or out of place. Do not store
your airgun with a CO
2
capsule in it. If you know you will not be using your airgun
for an extended period of time, empty the CO
2
capsule and remove it from the
airgun. (See Step 4). This is very important to remember, as it will prolong the
longevity of your airgun seals.
