Remote message retrieval
Remote message retrieval allows you to use another TTY when you
are away from home or work to call your Supercom 4400 and read
auto-answer messages. You must enter and save a password before
you can use remote message retrieval. The password prevents others
from reading your messages. You can only have one password per
household or office.
Saving a password +
Follow these steps to save a password:
1. Press the options key ( + ).
2. Press the key until you see CHANGE AA PSWD (NO)
on the display.
3. Press the to change the setting to YES.
4. Press the key. You will see:
5. Type a password using up to 8 characters. You cannot
use @ # % & or * symbols. The / character is part of your
password.
6. Press the key.
7. Press the key to leave the options.
Changing your password +
To change your password, choose a new one. If you forget your
password, the Supercom 4400 cannot show it to you. You must
enter a new password by following the steps above.
Reading messages while you are away
Follow these steps to use remote message retrieval:
1. Call your Supercom 4400. Your Supercom 4400 must have
auto-answer turned on when you call.
2. Wait for the answer memo to end.
3. Press the key.
