Answering a direct VCO call
The EZcom Pro must be sharing a line with a telephone before you
can use VCO.
1. When the signaler flashes (if one is connected) and the
telephone rings, press the key to turn on the EZcom Pro.
2. Press the key to send your greeting message.
3. After you or the other person requests VCO, pick up the
telephone handset to speak.
4. Continue to speak to the other person and read his or her typed
responses on the EZcom Pro display screen.
5. When your conversation is finished, replace the handset on the
telephone and press and hold the key to hang up the
EZcom Pro.
Using Hearing Carry Over (HCO)
For people who can hear but are speech impaired, the EZcom Pro can
be used to make Hearing Carry Over (HCO) calls. HCO is the
opposite of VCO. The HCO caller types to the other person (or
Relay service CA) and then listens to the other person’s reply.
The EZcom Pro must be sharing a line with a telephone before you
can use HCO. Also, the person you call must have a Uniphone or a
TTY with a telephone available before direct HCO will work.
