About direct VCO
A direct VCO call means that you speak to the other person and he
or she types responses to you. You do not use a Relay service. The
person you call must have a Uniphone or a TTY with a telephone
available before direct VCO will work.
Making a direct VCO call
The EZcom Pro must be sharing a line with a telephone before you
can use VCO.
1. Press the key and dial the telephone number.
2. Watch the display screen for a greeting message.
3. When you see a greeting message, press the key to
send your request for VCO. You will see VCO please ga on the
display screen.
4. Pick up the telephone handset and begin speaking to the other
person.
5. When you finish speaking, watch the EZcom Pro display to read
the other person’s responses, which he or she types directly to
you. Continue speaking and reading until your conversation is
finished.
6. When your conversation is finished, replace the handset on the
telephone and press and hold the key to hang up the
EZcom Pro.
Note: You do not need to put the handset down each time you
finish speaking.
