Making a VCO call through Relay
The EZcom Pro must be sharing a line with a telephone before you
can use VCO.
1. Press the key to turn on the EZcom Pro.
2. Press the key. The EZcom Pro will dial your Relay
service number if you have it saved in memory. See Saving your
Relay number on page 40 for more information.
Or, press the key and dial the Relay number using the
number keys.
3. When the Relay service CA answers, press the key to
send a VCO request. You will see VCO please ga on the display
screen.
4. After the CA notifies you when VCO is on, pick up the
telephone handset and tell the CA the name and number of the
person you want to call.
5. The CA will dial the number. Watch the display and wait until
the CA tells you the call is connected.
6. Once you are connected, begin speaking to the person you are
calling.
7. The CA will type the response when the other person answers.
Read his or her response on the EZcom Pro display screen.
8. When you see GA at the end of a typed line, begin speaking
again. Continue speaking and reading until your conversation is
finished.
9. When your conversation is finished, replace the telephone
handset and press and hold the key on the EZcom Pro.
Note: During the VCO call, you may hold the telephone handset
for the entire conversation. You do not need to put the handset
down each time you finish speaking.
