UltraplyXL Premium Underlayment will hold all
floor coverings firmly when the floor covering is
installed in accordance with the floor covering and
adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. UltraplyXL is
guaranteed for life in all applications when product
is handled and used as floor underlayment in
accordance with these installation instructions.
Not to delaminate
Not to be the sole cause of “yellowing”
Not to transfer wood colors to the floor covering
Under this warranty any and all implied warranties
are expressly limited to, at the company’s option:
Refunding the full cost (including installation
cost) of the underlayment, adhesive and floor
covering aected
In the event of yellowing an independent lab
will be employed to determine the cause of the
yellowing, the “at fault” material supplier will be
liable for all costs incurred due to the problem. In
no event shall the company’s liability for any claim
exceed the wholesale cost (including installation
cost) of the underlayment, adhesives, and floor
covering aected.
This warranty does not cover damages due to
improper installation of floor covering material. In
addition, tears or ruptures to the floor surface, tile
pop, standing water, fire, floods, natural disasters
or faults in the plumbing which aects the perfor-
mance of the flooring system are not covered.
This warranty is transferable and covers all
commercial and residential applications.
Liability shall expressly exclude any other liability
to the purchaser or any other person for direct,
indirect or consequential damages.
You must notify Moreland Company USA [Moreland]
within 30 days after discovery of product found
to be defective under this warranty. An authorized
representative from Moreland must be given the
opportunity for 30 days after such notice to inspect
floor prior to any alterations, change or repair. In
any case where Moreland is not notified before any
alterations, change or repair is made to the floor,
Moreland is released from any liability on the claims.
All claims must be submitted in writing within 30
days after the discovery of any defect. Please fax

versatile plywood product.
Installation Instructions
Acclimate UltraplyXL panels 24 to 48 hours to the
room environment in which they will be installed.
1 Install UltraplyXL printed side down
before installing the finished floor
2 Install the long dimension of the panel
perpendicular to the floor joists for
maximum rigidity
3 Oset seams with sub-floor
seam by at least 6” —
UltraplyXL scores & snaps
with a knife for easy installation
4 Stagger panels, ashlar fashion
(see illustration), so that four corners
do not meet. Oset underlayment
joints by at least 16”
5 Leave a minimum 1/8”
gap at walls
6 Lightly butt all panels, but
don’t force sheets into place
7 Fasten panels securely to a
structurally sound, smooth
clean and dry sub-floor with
18 gauge staples with chis-
eled ends and/or 12 gauge
non-staining, galvanized ring groove shank nails
8 Make sure fasteners don’t penetrate through the
sub-floor or into floor joists
9 Position fasteners in the
field on 4” inch centers
10 Attach edge fasteners 1-1/2”
apart and 3/8” from edge
11 Set fasteners flush or slightly
below the panel surface

Finally, fill all edge joints and
other surface depressions
with a PORTLAND-BASED LATEX MODIFIED
PATCH according to the manufacturers
instructions. Make sure patch is FULLY DRY,
then sand surface smooth before installing the
finished floor.
Notes & Exceptions
Moreland Company USA has the highest standards of quality
in the marketplace. Environment and temperature should
be noted to ensure proper acclimation. Flooring should
be installed immediately after underlayment installation to
prevent site-influenced damage. Moreland Company USA is
not responsible for faulty installation. No defective material
is to be installed. Final inspection of each panel is the
responsibility of the installer.
