Intended Use Ultra-Tow’s 1000-lb Hydraulic Truck Crane provides the power to lift a 1000 lb load when fully retracted and a 500 lb load when fully extended. It pivots 360°in base for easy loading, which saves time and effort loading and unloading cargo from a pickup bed.
⚠WARNING PERSONAL SAFETY Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating the crane. Do not use the crane while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the tool may result in serious personal injury. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing, dangling objects, or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
Operate on a hard level surface. Always wear the proper personal protective gear such as gloves and steel toed boots. No alteration shall be made to this product. Do not adjust the safety valve. Not for use by or around children. Main Parts of Product Reference 1 2 3 4 Subassembly Base Post Boom Boom Extension Assembly Instructions ⚠WARNING Once assembly is complete, tighten all bolts before initial the operation. Assemble the wheel hub (2) to the main post (9).
Attach the boom (12) to the main post (9). Connect the jack (8) to the boom (12) and main post (9). Secure the base (1) to the truck bed, garage floor, or wherever the crane will be used. Insert the assembled parts (main post, boom, and jack) to the base.
Insert the boom extension (14) into the boom. Attach the wheel working arm (5) to the main post, securing it with the R-pin (27). Attach the wheel binding bolt (4) to the base (1).
Before Each Use ⚠WARNING Do not use damaged equipment. If an abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for: Loose hardware Misalignment or binding of moving parts Cracked or broken parts Proper ram operation Frayed, kinked or damaged chain Any other condition that may affect its safe operation Operating Instructions ⚠WARNING Do not lift more than the rated capacity.
Use only soap and a damp cloth to clean your tools. Many household cleaners are harmful to plastics and other insulation. Never let liquid get inside a tool. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this crane. When adding oil, fully collapse the jack and add oil to move the level to the oil plug. Use only hydraulic jack oil.
