Intended Use This unique truck rack transports anything from construction materials and ladders to kayaks and more! Important Safety Considerations DO NOT modify the product in any way. Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety and could affect the life of the product. There are specific applications for which the product was designed. Use the right tool for the job. DO NOT attempt to force a small equipment to do the work of larger industrial equipment. There are certain applications for which this equipment was designed.
RACK USE AND CARE Do not over fill the rack. Racks do a better and safer job when used in the manner for which they are designed. Plan your work, and do not overload. Check for damaged parts before each use. Carefully check that the rack will operate properly and perform its intended function. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately. Never load the rack with a damaged part. Do not let children play with or around the rack. It is not a toy.
Assembly In order to properly assemble the rack you first need to determine if the rack will be installed on a LONG BED or SHORT BED truck. IMPORTANT: DO NOT tighten any bolts during the following steps. Recommended Tools for Assembly Open Wrench Size=10mm Open Wrench Open Wrench Size=13mm Size=17mm Open Wrench Size=18mm Step 1 - Refer to Fig. 1 Slide two Half Supporting Frames (3) together and connect them with a Connecting Plate (6) using 8 lock washers and 8 bolts from Bolt Set A.
Step 3 - Refer to Fig. 3 Put the Connecting Clamps (11) onto the side bar of Supporting Frame (3). Because the Connecting Clamp (11) will be connected to Post A (1) and Post B (2) later, place the three Clamps (11) at a suitable position on the side bar and secure them temporarily with Bolt Set A.
Step 4 - Refer to Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 (Do this for one cross bar.) Slide a M10*20 Square-head Bolt (C) into the slot of the Cross Bar (4), slide a Rubber V Pad Assembly (8 and 9) onto the end of the Cross Bar, slide another M10*20 Square-head Bolt (C) into the slot of the cross bar, position the M10*20 Square-head Bolts (C) in the notches of the Rubber V Pad Assembly (8 and 9), and secure with Bolt Set C. Repeat this for the other end of the Cross Bar (4). (Do this for the two remaining cross bars).
Step 5 - Refer to Fig. 6 Insert a Plastic End Cover (7) into each end of each of the three Cross Bars (4). Position Post A (1) and Post B (2) on the truck bed rails and secure them by inserting J-hooks (5) up through the mounting holes on the feet of the Posts (1 and 2) and securing the J-hooks (5) with Bolt Set E; tighten Bolt Set E to ensure that J-Hooks (5) are holding the foot tightly against the bed rails.
