Maintenance
Maintain the bike carrier by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance in
accordance with the following recommended procedures. It is recommended that the general
condition of any tool be examined before it is used. Keep your tool in good repair. Keep handles dry,
clean, and free from oil and grease. The following chart is based on a normal operation schedule.

Check all parts and be sure the carrier is in good working
order before using.
After the first 20 operating hours
Keep the carrier clean. Keep all parts dry, clean, and free from
oil and grease.
After the first 50 operating hours or
every week
Clean the bike carrier with a damp cloth.

The bike carrier shakes
while driving.
Hardware is loose.
Before driving with the carrier in
place, make sure all bolts and nuts
are tight and securely in place.
The bike shakes on the
bike carrier.
The Velcro wheel straps aren’t
attached securely to the tires.
Tighten the straps and make sure
they are in good condition.
