Maintenance
⚠WARNING
For proper performance, the following should be performed every 10,000 miles or 6 months,
whichever comes first.
Maintain the product by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance in accordance
with the following recommended procedures. It is recommended that the general condition of any tool
be examined before it is used. Keep your tool in good repair. Keep all cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to
control. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. The following chart is based on a
normal operation schedule.

The following should be performed
every 10,000 miles or 6 months:
1. Inspect for proper operation.
2. Inspect, in particular, the coupling area. Replace when the
wear exceeds 1/8'' from the original surface profile.
3. Inspect for worn, damaged, and missing parts. Replace as
required.
4. Always use a safety clip.
5. Check the ball’s torque specification after the first 200
miles of towing and every 400 miles after that.
