Intended Use This Ultra-Tow XTP Series Locking Lunette Ring features a single-piece, cast ductile iron with a steel hitch bracket and lock assembly that is designed for an off-the-shelf padlock. Using the lunette ring in confined work areas may put you dangerously close to cutting tools and rotating parts. Keep children and bystanders away from the work area while operating the lunette ring. Do not allow children to handle the product.
Maintain an adequate vertical down (tongue) load to maintain control of the trailer (generally 10%) without exceeding the specified rated capacities. Other steps and inspections are also required. Consult OSHA, D.O.T. regulations, and the American Trucking Association for complete coupling and uncoupling procedures. Lock Assembly Function Assembly in Locked Position The illustration shown above is in the locked position. Install the padlock in the locking pole (padlock not shown). Insure the lock assembly is in the unlocked position (illustrated below) before hooking it up. Assembly in Unlocked Position The illustration to the left is in the unlocked position. Maintenance ⚠WARNING For proper performance, the following should be performed every 10,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Maintain the product by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance in accordance with the following recommended procedures. It is recommended that the general condition of any tool be examined before it is used. Keep your tool in good repair. Keep all cutting tools sharp and clean.
