Intended Use This 15 ton capacity Ultra-Tow XTP Series Auto-Locking Pintle Hook features a single-piece, cast ductile iron with an upper steel lock that is designed for a flat, rigid mount. No adapter is needed. To be used with a 2" to 3" I.D. drawbar eye ring with a 1-1/4" to 1-5/8" diameter cross section. Technical Specifications Property Max. Gross Trailer Weight Max. Specific Operation Warnings ⚠WARNING To prevent serious injury or property damage, read and understand the owner’s manual. Do not exceed lowest rated load capacity in hitch system. Maintain adequate vertical down (tongue) load to have control of the trailer (generally 10%), but do not exceed the specified rated capacities. Other steps and inspections are also required. Consult OSHA, D.O.T. regulations, and the American Trucking Association for complete coupling and uncoupling procedures.
Hitching Up Make sure all bystanders are in sight before backing up the vehicle to hook-up. 1. Before operating, inspect for proper operation, worn, damaged, or missing parts, and secure the mounting. Correct as required before use. 2. Unlock by removing the safety pin. 3.
