American Trucking Association for complete coupling and uncoupling procedures.
Towing
⚠WARNING
Trailers and equipment are designed for on-road towing within the stated capacities. For off-road
applications, reduce the capacities listed above by 25%, and use in conjunction with a swivel-type
drawbar. This lunette ring well is suited for use in the utility and construction industries.
Mounting
⚠WARNING
Use a secure mounting structure of sufficient strength to support the rated capacity of the lunette ring
in accordance with SAE J 849B.
The hole pattern is shown in the parts diagram.
Use (4) 3/4" grade 8 fasteners, properly tightened (not included).
The recommended minimum torque is 282 ft-lbs. per SAE J429.
Before Each Use
⚠WARNING
Inspect for proper operation.
Inspect the coupling area. Replace when wear exceeds 1/8" (.125") from original surface profile.
Inspect for worn, damaged, and missing parts. Replace as required.
Operating Instructions
⚠WARNING
It is the user's responsibility to be sure the structure the lunette ring in mount to is capable of 15,000
lbs. vertical load and 60,000 lbs. maximum gross trailer weight.
