3.5.3.2 - External (FK)
In External Trigger mode, a trigger pulse is required to start each scan in the series. The rising edge of the trigger
denes the trigger event. The user can delay the start of the vertical shifting relative to the trigger event. After the
delay has elapsed, the number of rows (as specied by the user) are vertically shifted. The system then waits for the
next trigger to start the next scan. As there is no Keep Clean Cycle running while waiting for the External Trigger, the
real’ exposure time is the time between each trigger. A consequence of this is that, if your experiment has a constant
background signal but your trigger period is not xed, you may see different background levels in the signal. As with
internal trigger, the data is only read off the sensor when the capture sequence has completed.
