Service Decontamination Policy

instructions. Additional certificates are available from the local Account Representative or Field
Service Engineer. In the event these certificates are not available, a written statement certifying that
the unit has been properly decontaminated and outlining the procedures used will be acceptable.
WEEE Compliance
This product is required to comply with the European Unions Waste Electrical & Electronic
Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC. It is marked with the following symbol:
Thermo Electron has contracted with one or more recycling/disposal companies in each EU Member
State, and this product should be disposed of or recycled through them. Further information on
Thermo Electron`s compliance with these Directives, the recyclers in your country, and information
on Thermo Electron products which may assist the detection of substances subject to the RoHS

Note The Field Service Engineer will note on the Customer Service Repair Report if
decontamination was required and, if so, what the contaminant was and what procedure was
used. If no decontamination was required, it will be so stated.
