The module is equipped with four status LEDs mounted at the front of the card and one watchdog
LED mounted in the middle of the card, used for debugging purposes. The function of the LEDs is
described in the figure and tables below. Of the four status LEDs, one indicates network status,
two indicate module status, and one is reserved for future use.
Status LEDs Function
Network status – flashing red, 1 Hz The In and/or Out length set during configuration
of the module is not equal to the length set during
configuration of the network
Network status – flashing red, 2 Hz The length/contents of the User Parameter data
set during configuration of the module is not
equal to the length/contents set during
configuration of the network
Network status – flashing red, 4 Hz Error in configuration of the Profibus
communication ASIC
Network status – off No diagnostics present
Module on-line status – green Module is on-line and data exchange is possible
Module on-line status – off Module is not on-line
Module off-line status – red Module is off-line and data exchange is not
possible
Module off-line status - off Module is not off-line
