TO SET UP/EDIT A CONCENTRATION FLOW PROFILE:
1. From the Step Definition screen for a Concentration profile, choose the Animal Weight button to enter
the Set Animal Weight screen.

2. Enter the Weight in grams then choose the Accept button to return to the Step Definition screen.
3. Choose the Set Rate and Concentration button to enter the Set Rate and Concentration screen.

4. Select the Infuse Rate (it should be selected by default as indicated by the active data entry box to the
right of the button). Enter the desired rate using the keypad or select the Min Rate or Max Rate
button.
5. If the Units of Rate are not correct for your application, choose the Units button.
6. On the Units Selection screen, select the unit of measure (ml, µl, nl or pl) and the unit of time (sec,
min, hr) as appropriate, then choose Accept to confirm your selections.
7. Select the Concentration button and enter the concentration of the active ingredient in the infusion
fluid in mg/ml.
8. When all parameters are correctly set on the Set Rate and Concentration screen, choose Accept to
confirm your settings and return to Step Definition screen.
9. Choose the Set Dose or Duration button to enter the Set Dose or Duration screen.
10. On the Set Dose or Duration screen, select either the Dose button (if you wish to enter the target
dosage value in which case the PHD ULTRA
will calculate the required pumping duration) or
Duration (if you wish to infuse for a specific time period in which case the PHD ULTRA
will calculate
the delivered dose).
11. As appropriate enter either the Dose in mg/ml or the Duration using the keypad.
12. If the Units of Time associated with Duration are not correct for your application, select the Units
button to toggle between sec (seconds) and h:m:s (hours:minutes:seconds). To use the h:m:s option,
enter your time value in hours, minutes and seconds, separating each value with a colon.
