Locking The Touchscreen
The PHD ULTRA
™
incorporates a Touchscreen Lock function that can be enabled to prevent accidental
operation or interruption of operation. The Touchscreen Lock function makes all buttons on the Method
R
un display inactive except for the Stop Method buttons.
TO ENABLE THE TOUCHSCREEN LOCK FUNCTION:
1. From the Method Main screen, choose the Settings button.
2. On the Settings screen, select Touchscreen Lock Enable. Note that a checkbox on the button will be
checked to indicate that you have selected this option, but the button will not be displayed in magenta
as with other “select” options in the software.
3. Choose the Accept button to accept your changes.
TURNING TOUCHSCREEN LOCK ON
To turn touchscreen Lock on while running a Method, following these steps:
1. From the Method Run display, the Touchscreen Lock button should be in its default mode (Unlocked)
which appears as an “open” lock.

2. Select the Method Lock button. The button display will change to the Locked mode (closed lock) and
will be displayed in red on the screen. The application will display a confirmation message in the
Message Area indicating the touchscreen is locked.

NOTE: The Stop button will always remain active allowing you to manually pause/stop
pump operation even when the touchscreen is locked.
