Handling and operation
In this chapter you receive important information for the handling and operation
of the device.
Preparing the oil suction pump
♦ Remove the protective caps from the hose connections

♦ Roll out the suction hose (Ø 6 mm)

and the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm)

and bend them straight.
♦ Press the suction hose (Ø 6 mm)

onto the connection for the suction
hose

♦ Press the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm)

onto the connection for the
discharge hose

♦ Thereby, bear in mind the direction of fl ow (
Pump direction
) given
on the type plate of the oil suction pump .
♦ Secure both hoses with the supplied hose clamps

TAKE NOTE
►
Ensure that the hoses are not kinked or bent, otherwise the hoses and the
pump could be damaged.
Pumping oil out
♦ Before starting to pump oil out, let your vehicle engine warm-up for 5 - 10
minutes (oil temperature 40°C - 60°C). This reduces the viscosity of the oil
and it can then be pumped out more effi ciently.
♦ Switch the vehicle motor off .
♦ Roll out the suction hose (Ø 6 mm)

and the discharge hose (Ø 12 mm)

♦ Insert the suction hose (Ø 6 mm)

into the dipstick opening of your vehicle.
Insert it carefully down to the lowest point of the oil sump.
♦ Use a suitable container to collect the old oil and insert the discharge hose
(Ø 12 mm)

into the container.
♦ Ensure that the on/off switch

is in the position 0 (off ).
♦ First, connect the red positive-pole connection terminal (red)

to the
positive-pole (+) of the car battery.
♦ Then connect the black negative-pole connection terminal (black)

to the
negative-pole (-) of the car battery.
♦ Place the on/off switch
2
at position I (On) to switch the oil suction pump on.
♦ Pump the oil out of the engine/the oil sump.
