6.4 Air Manager troubleshooting
Air Manager not recognized
You can check if the Air Manager is detected by the Ultimaker 2+ Connect in the Diagnostics menu. Navigate
to Maintenance Diagnostics to check the Air Manager status. If the Air Manager is installed, but listed as ‘not
present’, it may not be connected properly. Follow the steps below to check the Air Manager cable:
1. Power o the Ultimaker 2+ Connect
2. Ensure one end of the Air Manager cable is securely inserted into the lter housing. Reconnect if necessary
3. Ensure the other end of the cable is securely inserted into the OUT port at the back of the Ultimaker 2+
Connect. Reconnect if necessary
4. Turn the Ultimaker 2+ Connect on again. If the Air Manager is still not recognized, go to support.ultimaker.com
and submit a support ticket
Fan is not spinning
If the fan of the Air Manager is not spinning correctly, the Air Manager will not be able to properly lter all particles
from the printing process. This may also lead to too high temperatures inside the printer. In case of problems with
the fan, check for obstructions:
1. Check if the lter is installed correctly
2. Check at the back if anything is interfering with the fan
3. Ensure at least 10 cm of free space behind the Ultimaker 2+ Connect and Air Manager for unrestricted airow
