Introduction The UTL7002 pocket-clip voltage detector sounds off with a loud tone and lights its LED indicator when it’s held near an AC voltage source. It can also be used as a quick “contact” DC detector for voltages as low as 3 volts DC with plastic cap removed.
Battery Replacement If the visual and audio signals become weak, the batteries should be replaced. Slide out battery door located on the back of the Detector and insert two fresh LR44 button batteries (UEi #B13), making sure of correct polarity. Replace battery cover. Always use a fresh replacement battery of the specified size and type. Immediately remove the old or weak battery from the meter and dispose of it in accordance with your local disposal regulations.
UTL7002 Power Detector Limited Warranty The UTL7002 is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If within the warra n ty period your instrument should become inoperative from such defects, the unit will be repaired or replaced at UEi’s option.
