through the sleeve.
If you are wearing tight-fitting clothes, do
not constrict the arm by rolling up your
sleeve but simply remove the article of
clothing.
During measurement the arm and the
cuff must remain still in order to prevent
interfering pulses. Pressing the cuff and
kinking the hose can affect the results.
Between successive measurements always
take a break of about 3-5 minutes in
order to prevent incorrect measurements.
2. Other points to note
• Arm circumference
The cuff is designed for an upper arm cir-
cumference of 22-32 cm. For arm circumfer-
ences of 32-42 cm there is an optional cuff
available – see Accessories.
• Cardiac arrhythmia
If you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia, this
can lead to incorrect results. Therefore
consult your doctor before measuring your
blood pressure (see also page 25).
Frequency of cardiac pacemakers
The display of pulse rate is not suitable for
monitoring the frequency of cardiac pace-
makers.
• Pregnancy
Blood pressure levels can be different as a
result of pregnancy. Only perform blood
pressure self-monitoring after consulting
your doctor.
• Medicines
Never use this device without consulting your
doctor first if you are undergoing dialysis
treatment or taking anti-coagulant, anti-
platelet medicines or steroids. The use of a
